Zephyr MIPS Pro Ski-Touring Helmet:

Introducing the third installment in the design sprint series for Black Diamond. This sprint is focused on the use of innovative materials and structural designs, creating a product that combines durability, functionality, and Black Diamond aesthetic appeal.

This sprint is the culmination of all three sprints that has developed into the final semester project. I am proud to have presented this project to a panel of Black Diamond representatives, and being a part of the innovative and collaborative aspect of product design.

Mood board for Zephyr Mips Helmet. Includes images of an aspen leaf, a pine tree, snow, and a sunset over a mountain. These intense colors are carried into the projects color pallete.

Ideation stages for the Skiing helmet. Illustrates what is currently on the market and how I think they could be better.

Introducing the Zephyr Mips Pro Skiing Helmet. It is specifically designed to provide the user with multiple adjustments so they don't have to sweat the little stuff. These adjustments include sliding ventilation plates, thermo-regulating inner lining, attachable visor and headlights.

Helmet sports all the latest tech including the revolutionary Venting Plate. This plate slides open and shut with the guiding of your palm. This allows for better temperature control. Other features include an adjustable size dial, goggle clip and extensive air vents.

Illustrations of the six different Colorways for the Helmet Project. Colorways include: Electric Honey, Sunset Slope, Mountain Pine, Charged Teal, Blackout and Powder.

The use of high quality and enviormentally friendly materials such as Green-High-Density-Polyethelene, Koroyd, Recycled Polycarbonate, Woolten; Recycled Wool x Polyester Blend, and Recycled Polyester Honeycomb Mesh.
